Since the firm was founded, it has been called upon by over 100 social landlords to provide general advice with regard to housing management. We have experience of dealing with all manner of queries and aim to answer questions, even complex queries within 3 working days. Examples of our work include:
A tenant of one of our clients in the Midlands passed away and following her death it transpired that her daughter was to succeed the tenancy, which she was entitled to do. The problem that existed was that the daughter was a minor (under 18) and she would not be able to hold the tenancy in her own right until she reached that age. The solution was a Deed of Trust together with an equitable agreement. The Deed was entered into by the grandparents of the child and there was an equitable agreement put together in the child’s name. The intention of the latter was to ensure that when she reached full age, the tenancy previously held by her mother would be transferred to her. Whiteheads helped our client draft the Deed and the equitable agreement.
