As the government pushes for more people to become home owners, so there is potential for problems to rise in regard to leasehold issues. Whiteheads' has provided advice to many of its local authority and RSL clients in how to deal with leasehold issues when it becomes apparent that those who have bought or are buying their property fall into difficulty. Clearly it is the responsibility of landlords to support these people if possible but in some cases, disputes arise that have to be dealt with through a legal route.
