Peter Whitehead
Managing Director

Having taken my secondary education at Hulme Grammar School in Oldham, I graduated from the University of Bristol in 1975 with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Archaeology (perhaps not the orthodox route into law you may say). After this, I completed my legal qualifications and began my article clerkship at a firm in central Manchester. I remained at this firm and within three years was made partner.
In 1992, I decided that I needed a break from the large firm environment and set up my own firm in that year. I am currently the firm's Principal and am responsible for all legal matters and general management of the Practice. Luckily, not all the responsibility lies on my shoulders and our Practice Director takes on some of the responsibility for the day-to-day management of the firm. I operate an open-door policy (although sometimes I hide behind it!) so all staff can come to see me if they need to.
Best achievement to date: Having three great kids.
Favourite place: A snow-capped mountain
Favourite thing: Skiing in the winter, boating in the summer - oh and of course my work
Least favourite thing: The fact that for some reason it was decided that there would only be 24 hours in a day!
