Lexcel
In 2005 it was decided that in order for the Firm to cast its working practices in stone, be more transparent and to help staff achieve more we should aim for Lexcel accreditation. Lexcel is the Law Society's practice management quality mark the principal aims of improving service delivery to clients and ensuring legislative requirements are met. In order to achieve the accreditation, the firm was assessed by an independent body, the Centre for Assessment Limited according to the following criteria:
- Structures & policies
- Strategy, Service Provision & Marketing
- Financial Management
- Facilities & IT
- People Management
- Supervision & Operational Risk Management
- Client Care
- File & Case Management
Each of these criteria were further broken down into several sub-criteria that we had to meet.
The firm received its accreditation in June 2006.
Training
The Firm's training services are also accredited. The Principal, Peter Whitehead has been granted accreditation by both the Bar Council and the Law Society for the training of both Barristers and Solicitors.
